Racism

Racismis a belief that some members have abilities and characteristics thatmakes them superior to others. These people think that they aresuperior to other races, and they can dominate and rule them. It canbe either direct or indirect. Direct racism happens when one isdiscriminated cause of their race, color or country of ethnic origin.Implied racism happens when policy or rules have a bad effect on aperson of a particular race, color or national of ethnic origin.

Thereare inhibitors, which in dialogic process result to racism. Despite of having ways ofcontrolling racism, inhibitors tend to slow this process. There hasbeen discrimination between the whites and blacks. It started duringcolonial periods when black people from Africa were enslaved by whitepeople. Africans were enslaved to work on farms owned by the whitesand were treated harshly. The race inequality occurred because of thecolor and national ethnic origin. The whites had an idea that theyare superior to black people. Also in games, blacks had beendiscriminated because of their color. Black players in football havebeen subjected to worst abuse due to racism in social media, especially in Twitter. There have been several cases of racismbetween players. For example in England there has been discriminationin football matches in which the blacks have faced extreme abuse fromthe fans and in other cases from their fellow players.Whites are inhibitors of racism in this case, and they can influencethe relationship between whites and blacks where they create a gapbetween the two races. Also, in South Africa, there was racism duringthe apartheid era. There was set rules where the colored (whites)were given privileges over the black people. The white people werenot supposed to carry a document referred to as dompas. This lawfavored whites since they were seen as superior to the blacks. Hence, there was no restriction in their movement. This preventedintegration between whites and blacks.

Inconclusion, we can use dialoguewhichcan form the beginning in fighting racism. Developing a positiveattitude towards each other is one of the best ways. We can do thisby accepting that we are all equal, and no one is superior to othersdespite the color. We should get along with one another and amendlaws that will help to reduce racism. Also, we should give upwhite-skin privilege and treat everyone equally by giving them equalopportunities.
